Little Hearts, Big Kindness: Celebrating Christmas the CVA Way
The holiday season at Christian Village Academy is filled with creativity, connection, and joyful learning. Throughout December, our classrooms focus on celebrating the season through hands-on activities, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for children to express themselves.
From infants to Pre-K, each age group participates in holiday-themed lessons that support early academic, social, and emotional development. Infants explore textured ornaments, soft bells, and festive sensory materials. Toddlers engage in color-sorting activities, simple crafts, and songs that reinforce vocabulary and rhythm. Preschool and Pre-K students create holiday art, practice writing skills, sort objects, explore shapes like squares and ovals, and enjoy storytelling circles that strengthen comprehension and expressive language.

One of the highlights of the season is our December Kindness Challenge. Children participate in small acts of kindness—such as making cards, sharing supplies, helping with cleanup, or offering friendly gestures—that help build confidence and community awareness. These activities teach children how their actions can positively impact others in age-appropriate and meaningful ways.
Holiday themes also create opportunities for collaborative play and imaginative learning. Students enjoy decorating classroom spaces, working together on group projects, and exploring holiday traditions through neutral, inclusive activities.
Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels excited to learn, create, and connect with others. At CVA, the holiday season is more than festivities—it’s a time to nurture creativity, build friendships, and celebrate the joy of learning together.
